Guaranteed clean drinking water.
AUTHORISED USES
1. Biofilm disinfection of water distribution systems (curative):
- Used in the industrial area (PT02).
- Used in areas for processing of food and drinks, including pipeline systems in large scale catering kitchens, canteens, slaughterhouses and butcheries (PT04).
- Used in the veterinary areas (PT04).
- Used in greenhouses (PT02).
(drinking water systems for animals (not in use), water installations, water pipelines, irrigation systems, spray installations and drip systems)
Single application - Room temperature – Indoor.
Directions for use
Fill the water system with a 5% product solution (to 5 liter product add tap water up to 100 liter). Use a contact time of at least 10 hours. Ventilate the water system well during disinfection, to avoid a pressure build-up. Afterwards rinse with water of drinking water quality so the detached dirt is removed.
Contact with copper may decrease efficacy, therefore, efficacy should be validated when the product is used in copper tubing without the exceedance of the application rate.
Use-specific risk mitigation measures
Wear protective chemical resistant gloves during product handling phase (e.g. rubber gloves). Wear a protective coverall (at least type 6, EN 13034) which is impermeable for the biocidal product (chemical resistant material). The use of eye protection during handling of the product is mandatory. Use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE) providing a protection factor of 10 is mandatory. Wash hands after use.
2. Drinking water for chicken:
- Disinfection of drinking water to maintain water quality in the water distribution system of poultry (PT05).
Single application - Temperature of the water in the distribution system: 20-30 ⁰C – Indoor.
Directions for use
Continuously dose the product to the animal drinking water in a concentration of 0.025% product. Dose the product directly to the drinking water, or prepare e.g. a solution of 2.5% (to 250 ml product add tap water up to 10 liter) and dose this diluted product as 1% to the drinking water using a dosing device. Use in clean drinking water systems. Use for water in pipelines only (not for water reservoirs).
Do not use the product in combination with oral vaccination. Stop product treatment at least 24 hours before dosing of oral vaccination, until 24 hours after.
For each type of animal drinking water system regular monitoring of the microbial quality of the drinking water is recommended in order to achieve effective use.
3. Surface disinfection of water distribution systems:
- In pipeline systems in large scale catering kitchens, canteens, slaughterhouses and butcheries (PT04).
- Used in the veterinary areas (drinking water systems for animals (not in use) (PT04)
Single application - Room temperature – Indoor.
Directions for use
Fill the system with a 2% product solution for control of bacteria and yeasts, or 5% for control of fungi (to 2 or 5 liter product add tap water up to 100 liter). Use a contact time of at least 10 hours at 20°C. Ventilate the water system well during disinfection, to avoid a pressure build-up. Afterwards rinse with water of drinking water quality so the detached dirt is removed.
4. Disinfection of surfaces in animal housing:
- Non-porous hard surfaces in animal housing without precleaning (PT03)
Single application – Indoor.
Directions for use
Spray a 15% solution by coarse spraying with low or medium pressure (to 1.5 liter product add tap water up to 10 liter). Apply 0.1 L of the diluted product per 1 m2 of the treated surface. Use a contact time of at least 30 minutes. Use enough product to keep the surface wet for the recommended contact time. Rinse treated surfaces with drinking water after application.
Use-specific risk mitigation measures
Remove all food, feed and drinks prior to treatment. Wear protective chemical resistant gloves during product handling phase (e.g. rubber gloves) and wash hands afterwards. Wear a protective coverall (at least type 3, EN 14605) which is impermeable for the biocidal product (chemical resistant material). The use of eye protection during handling of the product is mandatory. Use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE) providing a protection factor of 20 is mandatory. At least a powered air purifying respirator with helmet/hood/mask (TH1/TM1), or a half/full mask with combination filter gas/P2 is required (ABEK) when preparing the solution for use or when spraying. Unprotected persons and animals should be kept away from treated animal housing during spraying. The area can be entered after the 30 min disinfection period has passed and the surfaces have been rinsed with water. For re-entry, the undercut of AECinhalation of 1.25 mg/m3 shall be ensured with technical and organisational measures (e.g. sensor, defined ventilation period).
